In today’s money hungry and fad focused fitness world, you’re made to feel guilty if you’re not part of the hottest health club in town that offer 18 different types of massages, or if you haven’t ordered the latest “get fit quick” machine off of the super model and her steroid abusing co-host on your TV screens, making promises of a six pack in no time! The sad thing is we are too easily persuaded and even easier parted with our hard earned cash! This has to stop!

I just got back from my first long run in quite a while and it got me thinking about my struggles during this years Brighton marathon. My run included plenty of up and down hill stretches and one massive great long, laborious, painfully repetitive, mind numbingly boring flat road. Basically, minus my physical comparisons of the marathon, this 6 or so mile run was just like the last 6 miles of the big one.
Setting Goals, Think More or Less

When first starting a new regime or when going through a health conscious phase, setting goals are a great place to begin. The government have set recommended daily allowances for certain foods and have placed physical activity targets which may sound a bit like 30 minutes, 5 times a week at moderate intensity. This is a great incentive set forward by the big boys, but here at Bespoke Fitness we believe in the tailored approach to setting goals.
