Look around

Wednesday 12 August 2009

I have been thinking hard this week about what to write, but have struggled to find inspiration. Luckily, this morning when I asked my boot campers for some ideas on what they found inspiring, they all had some amazing things to say. So as I tell you about their thoughts, have a look at what’s inspiring you and keeping you motivated.

Grainne, a fantastically smiley lady who comes to the circuits tells me about how she loves the sessions outdoors, and exercising in the fresh air seems to be her oasis. Grainne was explaining how the circuits were different from other classes she has done before, and how there is no judging or comparing between people. There is a mixture of young and not so young, all trying their hardest and having fun doing it.

We spoke a lot about the changes she has seen in herself and about her son Declan who also comes, and I instantly found my inspiration. Declan is the coolest kid I know, he first turned up with knee supports on, but he now has the strength not to need them. He is also gleaming in confidence and really puts his mum through her paces and gets on well with everyone (well done Declan, your going to be wicked when the basketball season starts).

In the short time that I spend with my clients and boot campers, I see and hear about how much happier, healthier, slimmer and stronger they feel because of the work they have put in, and this makes me feel so warm inside it’s unreal. The idea of me helping others, help themselves is truly my reward and is the sole reason I started.

So, look for your inspiration within others, and you will see your true motivation within yourself.

Thank you for my inspiration,

Tom Ronchetti.
